Name: Hydrangea
Toxins: Cyanogenic Glycosides
Symptoms: vomiting, depression , anorexia, diarrhea, increase in heart rate, increase in body temperature and brick red gums.
Additional Information: The toxin present in Hydrangea is similar to Cyanide in that it prevent the cells from being able to produce ATP for energy, thus systems that depend upon adenosine triphosphate (ATP) for energy such as the heart and central nervous system will begin to shut down.
