Morning Glory plants contain Lysergic Acid or natural LSD, not nearly at strong as the synthetic variety which is roughly 100 times stronger. The action of the toxin interferes with the natural action of serotonin in the brain which causes delusions, stupor, or hallucinations. In pets you may also see an increase in aggression, inability to stand, or lethargy with excessive panting.
First Aid
Prevent further ingestion of the plant. Treatment is largely symptomatic with pets generally making a full recovery in 24 to 48 hours. Consult A Veterinarian.
